Bali has undeniably won our hearts through its natural wonders, culture, arts scene, and adventure activities. Stunning beaches, scenic lakes, gushing waterfalls, volcanic mountains, and rice paddies all make up the natural landscape of Bali. It is home to a rich and unique culture, a blend of Balinese Hinduism and sophisticated local tradition. Everywhere is an art scene with phenomenal murals, modern and contemporary paintings, and contemporary and historical performances among others. Its diverse natural landscape adds up to the adventure of outdoor activities that tourists can indulge in when in Bali.

But all of these sceneries and recreational ventures go down the drain when there are no cozy, homely, graceful, and rather elegant villas or hotels nearby. However, Nakula is the answer to your worries. We want you to honor your Bali experience with only the grandest and the best accommodation of Bali.

Experience Sanur

Destination Guide

Sanur is a beachy locale that really resonates with the Bali aesthetic. However, much of a go-getter you may be, you and your crew will have every reason to take a load off around your Sanur villa. If you’re heading island-side with the family, we couldn’t think of a better home base.

Just half an hour from Kuta, Legian and Seminyak, Sanur is removed enough from clubs and downtown life to give off a sense of serenity while still being accessible to Bali’s hottest spots. At this east coast gem, you’ll encounter ocean swimmers, paddleboarders, surfers, and even scuba divers starting or ending their trip into the sea. A water sport haven, Sanur has mastered the balancing act of sportiness and stillness.

Rent a bicycle and explore the depths of Sanur with the kids. If you’re lucky enough to wind up at Padanggalak Beach in July, you’ll even catch the yearly Bali Kite Festival, which is quite a sight to see. Finish the days at your villa pool, where you and your beloved travel buddies can splash to your heart’s content. Whatever you do, do your best to hit the shore at dawn at least once for a seriously memorable sunrise.

Experience Ubud

Destination Guide & Highlights

A Balinese adventure with your loved ones in tow is a thing to remember. Just a short drive away from Sanur, here are our favorite Ubud highlights, and ones you ought to look out for.

1. Monkey Forest
There's no denying that Ubud is a tropical destination. Visiting the Sacred Monkey Forest only solidifies this notion. For just a couple of bucks, you'll find yourself in the thick of some serious monkeying around. These leftover chasers swing from the trees as you walk under the canopy. Rivers and temples accentuate the experience, proving this region to be more than just a monkey-packed paradise (however cool that may be).
2. Rice Fields
With the Tegallalang Rice Terraces in its mist, Ubud proves to be a playground of a different kind. These rice fields sprawl for hectares, and their hilly nature makes for quite the well-crafted family photo. A range of palm trees and a maze of paddies set the stage for a landscape that can't be replicated. And with zip lines and jungle swings throughout, you and your family can find one heck of a destination here.
3. Shopping
No holiday is complete without some kind of shopping spree. At the Ubud Market, you'll become entranced by handcrafted goods of every kind. From unique clothing to home decor that speaks to the soul, there's a niche for all. Jalan Monkey Forest is another shopping destination in Ubud, and one that's worth the perusal. Whether accompanied by your significant other or a crew of little ones, Ubud's shopping is surefire fun.
4. Art Museum
Ubud is a community bent on artistry. With the Agung Rai Museum of Art amidst its confines, visitors get the chance to soak up true Balinese collections. The Neka Art Museum is yet another opportunity to bear witness to an array of esteemed paintings from island inhabitants. There's even a prime archeological institution called Museum Gedung Arca. Clearly, if it's culture you're after, Ubud is the place to be.

By staying in Ubud villas of the highest echelon, you’re giving yourself the chance to reap the honest benefits of Bali. Foothills, rice paddies and tropical jungles. Art, cuisine and ornate temples. These are just some of the intricacies that define the Ubud landscape, and bearing witness to it lets you imprint a bit of yourself onto a culture long in the making. Get in touch with Nakula if you’re looking for a villa for rent in Sanur.
