Description
Designed by Made Wijaya, world renowned tropical garden designer and architect, Villa Inka astonishes at first impression with its cascading layout, Indonesian heritage inspired design and enchanting garden. Occupying 2,800 square meters of the best of Ubud wilderness, this double-pavilion expanse boasts three bedrooms, an outdoor infinity pool with a stand-alone dining quarter. Each pavilion combines traditional thatched roofing, the luxury of space and elegant comfort to remarkable effect. The main pavilion is a double storey abode with a palatial infinity living room on the top floor, overlooking the panoramic view of lush tropical greenery. Inspired by the rich tapestry of aristocratic past, the interior is enriched with antiques, wooden furniture with intricate carved details and noteworthy art pieces. Every living space opens out to the enticing outdoor setting, where sprawling tall trees and exotic flowering plants frame the perimeter of the compound. Popular Monkey Forest, Campuhan Ridge Walk and funky cafés are a comfortable distance away on foot.
Bedrooms
Taking up an entire pavilion on the far end of the estate, the palatial master bedroom showcases a king-sized four poster bed, a study area, a separate walk-in wardrobe & wash basin room with a semi open outdoor bathroom. An oversized verandah overlooking the encircling dense greenery makes for the perfect chill-out area. The other two bedrooms are located on the ground floor of the main pavilion, linked by an interconnecting door. One features a king-sized bed with a separate wash basin area and a semi outdoor shower and toilet area. The other a twin-bed. Each bedroom features an en-suite, floor-to-ceiling wardrobe and opens out to the garden courtyard. All bathrooms are designed with comfort in mind and featuring resort-style amenities.
Outdoor Areas
The cascading layout of the villa catches the eye right from the parking area which is located on the street level above the living area. The nature-centric design of Made Wijaya highlights using thick and colourful plants lining the open areas around the villa. Taking centre stage in the garden courtyard is the irresistible infinity pool which overlooks the flourishing tropical vegetation Ubud is famous for. Take a dip in the pool and totally immerse yourself into the ultimate Bali experience. Tall palm trees and mid to low growing exotic foliage of every kind hugs the garden surroundings. Each plant beautifully juxtaposes the other to exude an enchanting enclosure. The walkway linking the three indoor living spaces are paved with a seamless combination of wooden decking and green lawn. Parallel to the pool is a lily pond with stoney walkway access on top of it.
Indoor Areas
Entering Villa Inka and arriving immediately at the infinity living room on the upper floor of the main pavilion sets the tone for the rest of the property. The expansive space showcasing an extra tall traditional thatched roof and opening 360 degrees out onto the verdant tropical vegetation Ubud is renowned for. Decorated with carved wooden furniture and tasteful antiquities, this open-plan multi-purpose space is idyllic for hosting a large party to simply having a quiet afternoon tea. On the far right of the property is a stand-alone quarter housing a fully equipped kitchen with semi outdoor seating, featuring a long wooden dining table and chairs. All indoor living spaces have ample natural light and fresh air, as well as air-conditioners.
