Bali has undeniably won our hearts through its natural wonders, culture, arts scene, and adventure activities. Stunning beaches, scenic lakes, gushing waterfalls, volcanic mountains, and rice paddies all make up the natural landscape of Bali. It is home to a rich and unique culture, a blend of Balinese Hinduism and sophisticated local tradition. Everywhere is an art scene with phenomenal murals, modern and contemporary paintings, and contemporary and historical performances among others. Its diverse natural landscape adds up to the adventure of outdoor activities that tourists can indulge in when in Bali.

But all of these sceneries and recreational ventures go down the drain when there are no cozy, homely, graceful, and rather elegant villas or hotels nearby. Canggu beach, Bali

It is totally understandable when you stay in one of our luxury villas in Canggu, you may not end up stepping foot outside your gate the entire holiday. But if you do, then these are the five must-dos that we have narrowed down for you:

1. Learn to surf at Batu Bolong beach

This popular surfers’ haunt is ideal for beginners due to its sandy bottom. You will find offers to learn aplenty at the carpark and on the beach. Alternatively you can ask your villa staff to organize a lesson for you.

2. Visit the iconic Tanah Lot

Located a mere 30 minutes from Canggu, this famous Balinese landmark is best visited at sunset. Not only will you find endless instagram-worthy corners, but the traditional Kecak Dance after dark is not-to-be-missed!

3. Sunset-watching on the beach

Bali is known for its sunset with good reasons. Head to any beach in Canggu on a clear day, and you are very likely to be rewarded with golden sunset only Bali can. Be sure to dabble into some local snacks sold by beach vendors, from meatball soup or bakso to flame-grilled corns and boiled peanuts.

4. Do a food safari tour

Canggu arguably has the most restaurants/cafes/warungs per square meters anywhere in Bali. Whether you are a purveyor of only the healthiest types of food, a coffee connoiseur or the kind that eats everything, there is an eatery to suit your taste and every budget. If you love traditional Indonesian food, then you must venture into warungs, or local eateries, for your nasi campur or mie goreng.

5. Get wet at Finns Recreation Club

Family with super energetic children will find an all-day entertainment of the watery kind at Finns Recreation Club. Located in the heart of Canggu, this aquatic theme park has some of the wildest, windiest, tallest and steepest rides. Beyond watery activities, it also has fitness club, bowling alley, bounce stadium, swimming pools and restaurants.

So indulge in your luxurious in-villa experience in a 3 bedroom or 5 bedroom villa in Canggu, but make sure you wander out into the delightful Canggu neighborhood for a completely unforgettable Bali holiday!
