The best way to experience all that Bali has to offer is to do day tours. This way you can build a few itineraries into your day. To fully see all Bali attractions, realistically you may need three or more day tours. And if you want to do neighbouring island hopping, then you need to add more days.
Here are some ideas and information about day tours:
1. Full or Half Day Customized Tour
If you have done your research and know all the places you want to visit, then it is often best to just do a customised tour where you get to curate the day itinerary. Depending on the distances of your destinations, you’re best to hire a car and discuss your itinerary with the driver directly. Full day means 8 hour hire and includes car, petrol, and a guide. Half day gets you 4. There is often a surcharge per additional hour incurred on the way home, so please make sure you have agreed on any additional rates before embarking on your journey.
2. Ubud Day Tour
No visit to Bali is complete without a day tour to Ubud. There are so many places to see and do in Ubud, from Monkey Forest, Campuhan Ridge Walk, Tegallalang Rice Fields, Tirta Empul Water Palace to name but a few. This is at a minimum a full day tour++. Not to be missed!
3. Uluwatu Day Tour
Another must-do activities when in Bali. Located on the southern tip of the island, Uluwatu offers many memorable places to visit. Bali’s most beautiful and surfing beaches are all found here. You may also want to make a pit stop at GWK Cultural Park, where carved mammoth statues stand proudly on rocks or stand alone. Ending the day watching traditional kecak at sunset in Uluwatu is a must! Yup, it’s a full day++ tour!
4. Nusa Penida Day Trip
The most Instagrammable destination of Bali is in Nusa Penida. And you can explore this amazing neighbouring island in a day. A typical itinerary starts with a land transfer to the harbour, then a 45-minute speedboat ride. Once there, you will be taken to the main tourist attractions like Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach. Optional additional activities like snorkeling are available. Why not be the judge on what you think of Nusa Penida?
